Dominate Your Fantasy Football Draft

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) practiced all week and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Packers. He should be ready for a full slate of snaps but downgrades to mid- to low-end TE1 status without QB Brock Purdy.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Packers. His injured right shoulder evidently didn't progress throughout the week as the team had hoped. GM John Lynch said Friday that an MRI on the shoulder didn't show anything concerning, so we're not expecting this to be a long-term absence. But Purdy's absence this weekend leaves QB Brandon Allen as San Francisco's expected starter. Allen has been with the 'Niners since May 2023 but has not attempted a regular-season pass for them. He completed just 57% of his passes at 6.1 yards per attempt in limited action for the Broncos and Bengals from 2019-2022. Allen is clearly a significant downgrade for all San Francisco pass catchers. Expect the team to lean heavily on RB Christian McCaffrey on Sunday.

Commanders K Austin Seibert (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cowboys. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice, so we’re expecting him to play. Seibert is a nice fantasy option with Washington sporting a 27.75-point implied total.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Commanders. We’ll see if Dallas activates him from IR for his first game since Week 4, but Cooks is not a recommended fantasy play in any format.

Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Commanders. That leaves Luke Schoonmaker as Dallas’ likely lead TE. He tallied 6 catches for 43 yards when Ferguson missed Week 2 and caught 6 of 10 targets last week after Ferguson exited in the first quarter. You could do worse if you’re desperate at TE this week.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (back, foot) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. After sitting out on Thursday, he returned to a full practice on Thursday. We’re expecting him to play his usual role on Sunday. It hasn’t necessarily been pretty, but Lamb has totaled 22 targets and 14 catches with QB Cooper Rush over the last two weeks.

Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He should be ready to play his usual role on Sunday against the Colts’ 30th-ranked TE defense.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is out for Sunday night’s game against the Rams after missing practice all week. He played through a hamstring issue in Week 11 but evidently had a setback at some point. Smith’s absence will mean more snaps for some combination of WRs Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson, and Ainias Smith. But targets figure to consolidate even more around WR A.J. Brown and TE Dallas Goedert.

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. He was a full participant in Thursday’s practice but limited on Wednesday and Friday. We’re expecting Evans to play on Sunday, but it sounds like his snaps could be scaled back at least a little. “We’ll play him as long as he’s healthy and fresh and needs to be in there,” HC Todd Bowles said Friday. “But we’ll get him out when we have to.” Consider Evans a risk/reward WR2 in this plus matchup.

Raiders RBs Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. Vegas will roll with Ameer Abdullah, Dylan Laube, and likely practice-squad callup Sincere McCormick in the backfield. We’re projecting Abdullah to lead in touches, but it’s a guess more than anything else. With the Raiders six-point underdogs with a 17.5-point implied total against a tough Denver defense, you should try to stay away from this backfield.
